The Natural Stone Institute provides safety training for employees in the natural stone industry. This 4-hour online certificate provides training materials for preventing silicosis, safe slab handling, and creating a safety program. Additional silica resources are available on our website.
Employers have multiple options to administer this certificate program:
- Provide each employee with online access to complete all 16 courses plus the certificate checklist. Access the courses here.
- Designate a safety manager to administer the courses in an in-person environment at the facility. Contact the NSI education department to learn more.
- Participate in a half-day workshop during an industry trade show or hosted by NSI member distributors and suppliers. Details will be announced soon.
Track your progress towards completion of the Silica and Slab Safety Certificate in your course library or using the downloadable course checklist. Once all courses have been completed including downloading required reading materials and passing the exam, participants should complete the final verification course which confirms details and generates your certificate of completion.
